Softball Recap: Saint Viator's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Saint Viator had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out the Montini Catholic Broncos 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since April 11th.

Carley Heiden spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

Saint Viator's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Montini Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Coming up, Saint Viator will challenge Benet Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Montini Catholic, they will welcome St. Laurence at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Broncos' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
