The MLB Draft has 40 rounds, so being selected in the first round is quite a distinction.

Baseball is one of the few sports where high schoolers are selected early and often, so the MLB Draft is much more relevant to the high school audience than most other drafts.

Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, Colo.), Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs, Fla.), Rancho Bernardo (San Diego) and Sarasota (Fla.) have produced the most first-round picks since 1990 with five each.

That three of the four schools come from California and Florida is no surprise (they are the two states with the most first-round selections), but Colorado is hardly a powerhouse when it comes to first-rounders. Colorado has had 13 players drafted in the first round since 1990, and five of them went to Cherry Creek.

Check below to see which schools have produced multiple first-round MLB draft picks, along with some other fun facts.
