Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Westmoreland had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They secured a 41-36 W over the Essex Trojans. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won five games in a row.

Despite the loss, Essex had strong showings from Morgan Self, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards, and Kenedi Campbell, who posted four points and six rebounds. Self is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Westmoreland pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Essex, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
