It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bloomfield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Tuckahoe Tigers with a sharp 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Ashlyn Wright was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with five RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Falsone, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May. Marlee Poole was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Bloomfield pushed their record up to 24-1 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Tuckahoe, they moved to 19-5 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Bloomfield nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
