Baseball Recap: Alta Loma Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Alta Loma was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Colony Titans 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Titans last Wednesday, they had to take a 12-0 loss.

Nathaniel Pimentel looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Lukas Spence and Cody Primanto did most of the damage at the plate: Spence went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Primanto scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Primanto has posted since back in April of 2024. M Perez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Alta Loma is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. Colony's record is now 9-3.

Alta Loma didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against West Linn on the 24th. As for Colony, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Upland on the 27th.
