Volleyball Game Preview: International Gryphons vs. University Trailblazers

International hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Gryphons will face off against the Trailblazers at 11:00 a.m. University took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on International, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, International was able to grind out a solid victory over Purdue Polytechnic, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gryphons.

The win didn't come easy: Purdue Polytechnic scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 18-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Meanwhile, University didn't have quite enough to beat Speedway on Wednesday and fell 3-2. While the Trailblazers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Sparkplugs 25-12 in the first set.

University actually scored more points across those five sets (103-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-23, 25-16, 15-25, 16-14.

International's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

International came up short against University in their previous matchup back in August, falling 3-1. Can the Gryphons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
