Baseball Recap: Smithson Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sweeny last Saturday, Smithson Valley came back down to earth. The Rangers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wagner Thunderbirds on Tuesday. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Smithson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Wagner, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-15.

While Smithson Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
