Baseball Recap: Mosley Wins Going Away Against Chiles

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mosley). They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Chiles Timberwolves on Saturday. With that victory, the Dolphins brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Fletcher Taylor looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Peyton Williams was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Parker McDaniel also deserves some recognition as he stolen his first stolen bases of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Mosley and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs over those games. As for Chiles, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Mosley will be playing in front of their home fans against Marianna at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chiles, they will venture away from home to take on Lowndes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
