Volleyball Game Preview: Briarcrest Christian Saints vs. Arlington Tigers

The Briarcrest Christian Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Arlington Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Briarcrest Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Lakeland Preparatory 3-0. The Saints not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

While Briarcrest Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Arlington faced Collierville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Dragons by a score of 3-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Briarcrest Christian's record is now 24-8. As for Arlington, their record now sits at 24-6.

Briarcrest Christian couldn't quite get it done against Arlington in their previous matchup back in August as they fell 3-1. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
