Volleyball Recap: Preston Falls to Keyser in First Game of Season

Preston unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Keyser Golden Tornado on Thursday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Preston was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Keyser work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-17.

Jillian Ault had an outrageously good game for Keyser as she had 12 kills, seven blocks, and four aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Delsignore, who had 11 digs and three assists.

Keyser has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Preston will challenge Washington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Keyser, they are taking a road trip to square off against Moorefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
