Basketball Recap: Fort Loramie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Fort Loramie can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against the Houston Wildcats by a score of 46-34. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-31 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Loramie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maxwell Maurer, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Landen Drees, who had nine points.

Fort Loramie's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Houston, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Loramie won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mississinawa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fort Loramie is facing Mississinawa Valley at the right time seeing as Mississinawa Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Houston, they will challenge Lehman Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
