Basketball Recap: Southeast Raleigh Takes a Loss

Southeast Raleigh lost against South Garner back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs fell to the South Garner Titans 58-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Titans are ranked 242nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Garner to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Byrd, who posted six points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Littles, who scored 12 points.

Southeast Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for South Garner, their record now sits at 6-10.

Southeast Raleigh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-28 victory against Corinth Holders on the 28th. As for South Garner, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-52 defeat against Clayton on the 28th.
