Baseball Recap: Deweyville Wins Going Away Against Hull-Daisetta

Deweyville got themselves on the board against Hull-Daisetta on Friday, but Hull-Daisetta never followed suit. They blew past the Bobcats 15-0. The match marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season.

Lane Gray made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Gray was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Gunner Evans was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Slade Gunter was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Deweyville moved to 4-13 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Hull-Daisetta, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
