Recap: Albany Falcons vs. Troy Flying Horses
The Albany Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Troy by a score of 74-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Troy found their leader in underclassman Stetson Merritt, who scored 37 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Merritt has scored at least 25% of Troy's points. Jamil Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Albany has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Albany and Rome Free Academy will round out the year against one another at 4:15 p.m. on December 28th at. Troy will be home for the holidays to greet Schenectady at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Schenectady has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
