It was a good run, but Kingman Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Trivium Prep Crimson Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Kingman Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-14.

Kingman Academy's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Trivium Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Kingman Academy and St. John Paul II Catholic will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trivium Prep, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against North Valley Christian Academy on the 2nd.
