Softball Recap: San Antonio Christian Comes Up Short

San Antonio Christian came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Saint Mary's Hall Barons, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

San Antonio Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Vick, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another was Taytum Robert, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

San Antonio Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Saint Mary's Hall, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Antonio Christian will host St. Anthony at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will welcome Holy Cross at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
