Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Valley Starts Season with Win Against Columbus School for Girls

Buckeye Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Columbus School for Girls Unicorns. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Barons also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 25-21.

Leading Buckeye Valley to victory were Delaney Lozier and Payton Loedding. Lozier had 17 digs, while Loedding had eight assists and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Lozier a new career-high.

Buckeye Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Worthington Christian on the 21st. As for Columbus School for Girls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Columbus Academy on the 20th.
