Recap: Celebration Storm vs. Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs
The Celebration Storm fell victim to the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 39-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Celebration can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Flagler Palm Coast is ranked 180th).
Marcus Mitchell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Zyquan Neal made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Celebration's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Celebration will take on St. Cloud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Cloud is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Flagler Palm Coast, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tocoi Creek at 7:00 p.m.
