Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ludlow). They put the hurt on the Amherst-Pelham Regional Hurricanes with a sharp 15-3 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the game before.

Ludlow's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlow will challenge Chicopee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, they will square off against Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Hurricanes' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
