Softball Recap: Geneva County Takes a Loss

Geneva County fell victim to Rehobeth and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Raine Dunn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Geneva County's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Rehobeth, their win bumped their record up to 9-12-1.

Geneva County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-4 defeat against Ariton on the 9th. As for Rehobeth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-1 victory against Northside Methodist Academy on the 9th.
