The North Star Cougars will be defending their home-field for the first time for the first time when they go up against the Juniata Valley Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Star is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Moshannon Valley. North Star's defense stepped up to hand Moshannon Valley an 18-0 shutout on Friday.

North Star got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Smith out in front who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Juniata Valley took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They blew past Newport, posting a 34-7 victory at home.
