Basketball Recap: West Caldwell Warriors vs. Bunker Hill Bears
The West Caldwell Warriors can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Bunker Hill 85-60. Given West Caldwell's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Bears are ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Caldwell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nylan Battle, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Battle posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Dallas Fox, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds.
West Caldwell is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Bunker Hill, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
West Caldwell will take on the Blue Devils at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bunker Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Rebels at 8:00 p.m. West Lincoln is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
