Volleyball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wellsville last Friday, Avon came back down to earth. The River Hawks fell just short of the Le Roy Oatkan Knights by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Oatkan Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in October.

With the loss, Avon broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-8. As for Le Roy, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1.

As of now, neither Avon nor the Oatkan Knights have any future games scheduled.
