Volleyball Recap: Parkway South Patriots vs. Marquette Mustangs

Parkway South faced Marquette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

Sam Visintine paced Parkway South's offense, picking up ten kills. Visintine got some help from Caden Rushing and his 22 assists. Finally, Jacob Sidwell and Seth Barton kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Leading Marquette to victory were Brody Knittel and Tristan Chambliss. Knittel had 12 assists and four digs, while Chambliss had six digs and one assist. That's the most digs Knittel has posted over his last nine contests.

Parkway South's loss dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Marquette, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-9.
