Preview: Doherty Memorial Highlanders vs. South Colonels
The Doherty Memorial Highlanders will be playing at home against the South Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Doherty Memorial pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Burncoat.
South suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-38 loss at the hands of North. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South has scored all season.
Doherty Memorial has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Doherty Memorial didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South in their previous meeting last Friday, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. Will Doherty Memorial repeat their success, or does South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
