Softball Recap: Falfurrias Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Falfurrias's offense. They lost 13-0 to the Hebbronville Longhorns on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Fightin' Jerseys' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Falfurrias saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrina Trevino, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Trevino is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Falfurrias dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hebbronville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Falfurrias and Hebbronville will both be playing IDEA Edinburg College Prep the next time they take the field. Falfurrias will host IDEA Edinburg College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hebbronville will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
