Mile High Academy had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 2-4 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Eagles two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Addy Dodds paced Mile High Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Dodds got some help from Alaina Hickman and her ten assists. Finally, Lia Zachawerus kept Mile High Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. Their defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sofia Meza-Villa, who had 11 digs, and Izzy Curtis, who had eight kills, three digs, and two blocks.

Coming up, Mile High Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Victory Prep Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they will challenge Dawson School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
