Basketball Recap: Northeast Guilford Takes a Loss

Northeast Guilford saw some tournament action on Friday. They were beaten by the Jackson Day Mariners 57-5. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Ahylia White, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards for Jackson Day. White also posted three blocks, marking her first of the season. Jade Marshall was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on her way to 10 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Northeast Guilford now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jackson Day, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Northeast Guilford won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Caldwell at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Jackson Day, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Butler at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
