Fairfield Central extended their postseason success on Friday against Andrew Jackson. They claimed a resounding 36-0 victory over the Volunteers. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won eight games by 29 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Fairfield Central's win came down to the chemistry between Kaden Diggs and his top target Ty'Quarius Shannon. Diggs threw for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes while Shannon picked up 87 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most passing yards Diggs has posted since back in September. Derek Cammon handled things on the ground, rushing for 93 yards.

Fairfield Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Brenton Mack and Kaylin Culp each grabbed an interception.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Fairfield Central, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.3 points on average over those games. As for Andrew Jackson, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Fairfield Central will take on Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Griffins will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups. Andrew Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
