Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Rockvale 64-34. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rockvale this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-25 back in January.

Rockvale found their leader in sophomore Jade Watson, who went 10-for-16 en route to 27 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caydence Thomas, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 16 points.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Rockvale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-34 victory against Siegel on the 18th. Rockvale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
