After a string of six wins, Gateway Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were outmatched by Fort Sumner/House and fell 71-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zack McCracken, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Victor Oaxaca, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and five boards.

Gateway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Fort Sumner/House, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Gateway Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-57 victory against Tucumcari on the 17th. Fort Sumner/House has also already played their next game, a 72-69 win against Tularosa on the 17th.
