Basketball Recap: Swanville Comes Up Short

Swanville lost against West Central Area back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Swanville Bulldogs were outmatched by the West Central Area Knights and fell 73-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Knights are ranked 65th).

Swanville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10. As for West Central Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Swanville has already played their next game (against Browerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Central Area will square off against Brandon/Evansville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
