Basketball Recap: Letcher County Central Takes a Loss

Letcher County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Pikeville Panthers 80-46. The Cougars / Lady Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Letcher County Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Pikeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Letcher County Central has already played their next contest (against Jenkins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pikeville has already played their next game, a 53-52 victory against North Laurel on the 1st.
