Football Recap: Fort Gibson Comes Up Short

Fort Gibson and Ada squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fort Gibson had to settle for second. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Fort Gibson still got an impressive performance from Cash Keys, who picked up 161 receiving yards and two scores, and also rushed for 34 yards and a pair of TDs.

Fort Gibson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Ada, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Fort Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ada, they will square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
