Soccer Game Preview: Antioch vs. Hillsboro

The Antioch Bears will head out to square off against the Hillsboro Burros at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Antioch put up the most goals they have all season on Friday. They blew past Mount Juliet 5-1. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Antioch with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro entered their tilt with Valor College Prep on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Wildcats. Considering Hillsboro have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hillsboro pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Antioch, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-1.

Antioch was able to grind out a solid win over Hillsboro in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Burros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
