Basketball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Clear Creek Golddiggers + How To Watch

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will head out on the road to challenge the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Generals fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 79-22 win over Rocky Mountain Prep SMART. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Generals had established a 52-point advantage.

Arrupe Jesuit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mario Cabrera, who shot 53% from the field en route to 17 points along with six boards and five assists. Those 17 points gave Cabrera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Louie Garcia, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten steals.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek got the win against Jefferson on Saturday by a conclusive 56-30. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-10.

Everything came up roses for Arrupe Jesuit against Clear Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 65-32 victory. In that game, the Generals amassed a halftime lead of 42-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
