Southwest came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 37-36 victory over the Keytesville Tigers. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Keytesville still got an impressive performance from Kinley Dowell, who posted 19 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 52.8% of Keytesville's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Mercilyn Carson was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

Southwest's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Keytesville, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keytesville, they will face off against Tina-Avalon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
