Baseball Recap: Othello's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Othello's last matchup with Stanwood could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Huskies came up short against the Spartans, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Huskies were not able to get on the board.

Othello saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rjay Garza, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

The loss snapped Othello's winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-2 record. As for Stanwood, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Othello will head out to face off against East Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stanwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
