Soccer Recap: York Institute Takes a Loss

The matchup between York Institute and Smith County on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Dragons came up short against the Owls, falling 6-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as York Institute were already down 5-1.

Connor Cook wasn't going to let Smith County walk away unscathed as he scored both of York Institute's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

This is the second loss in a row for York Institute and nudges their season record down to 1-4-1. As for Smith County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Coming up, York Institute will take on Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. York Institute are facing Jackson County at the right time seeing as Jackson County are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Smith County, they will square off against Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
