Volleyball Recap: Montpelier's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Montpelier had to endure a six-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Emmanuel Christian Warriors 3-0 on Monday. The Locomotives have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Montpelier not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Emmanuel Christian between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-17.

Bria Friend paced Montpelier's offense, picking up eight kills. Friend got some help from Bella Ramos and her 19 assists. Stefanie Wade controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Montpelier picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-14. As for Emmanuel Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-6.

Montpelier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against North Central on the 30th. Emmanuel Christian has also already played their next contest (against Monclova Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
