Baseball Recap: Alpaugh Comes Up Short

Alpaugh extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They lost 20-4 to the Legacy Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-1 defeat last Monday.

As for Legacy Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-7-1. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Legacy Christian Academy's part, they got a massive performance out of Carter Burich, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave Burich a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Kirstine, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alpaugh will challenge Kings Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Buffalos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will take on North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
