Football Recap: Lee Cruz Jr and Danny Quigley Lead the Defense for Mahar Regional Win + How To Watch

If McCann Tech wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mahar Regional, they should've done a better job of containing Lee Cruz Jr. The Senators walked away with a 33-24 victory over the Hornets on Friday thanks in part to Cruz Jr, who picked up 122 receiving yards and two scores. His longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards.

Mahar Regional didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cruz Jr and Danny Quigley. Carter Hardy was another major factor on D, making 16 total tackles.

The win got Mahar Regional back to even at 1-1. As for McCann Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mahar Regional is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Quaboag Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McCann Tech, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monument Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on October 11.
