Baseball Game Preview: Oakridge Owls vs. Cistercian Hawks

The Oakridge Owls are taking a road trip to challenge the Cistercian Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakridge is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Fort Worth Country Day hit Oakridge with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Owls lost 13-3 to the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Owls have suffered since March 7th.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Cistercian duked it out with Episcopal School of Dallas on Wednesday. The Hawks fell 9-5 to the Eagles.

Major Beasley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Charlie Kobodish, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Cistercian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12-1.

Oakridge couldn't quite get it done against Cistercian when the teams last played back in March as they fell 6-3. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
