Volleyball Recap: Calvary Takes a Loss

Calvary lost against Greenview back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Calvary sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 15-13.

Ainsley Johnson paced Calvary's offense, picking up 14 kills. Johnson got some help from Elesha Levine and her 14 assists. Johnson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elizabeth Animasaun, each putting up three.

Calvary's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Greenview, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Calvary has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mulberry Grove on the 4th. As for Greenview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Hillsboro on the 4th.
