Soccer Recap: Hanks Comes Up Short

Hanks lost against Del Valle back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hanks Knights came up short against the Del Valle Conquistadores, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 83rd).

Hanks moved to 11-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three contests. As for Del Valle, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Coincidentally, Hanks and Del Valle will both be playing El Dorado the next time they take the pitch. Hanks will host El Dorado at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Del Valle will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on March 11th.
