Softball Recap: West Carter Takes a Loss

West Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elliott County Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 16-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

West Carter's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Elliott County, their record now sits at 8-14.

Coming up, West Carter will welcome Grace Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elliott County, they will venture away from home to take on East Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
