Basketball Recap: Holy Trinity Catholic Comes Up Short

Holy Trinity Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Providence Prep Rams, falling 69-10. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Celtics this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-6 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Lilly Hodge, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards for Providence Prep. The dominant performance gave Hodge a new career-high in rebounds. Sarah Vernon was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Holy Trinity Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Providence Prep, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Holy Trinity Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Providence Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Joshua Christian at 5:30 p.m.
