Maxwell came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Redding Christian Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-0 back in January.

Walter Avery and Jose Cisneros scored both of Maxwell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Maxwell pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Redding Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Maxwell wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Los Molinos on the 3rd. As for Redding Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Durham on the 7th.
