Volleyball Recap: Gillett Takes a Loss

Gillett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Coleman Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Gillett's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Coleman, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gillett will challenge rival Niagara at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. Meanwhile, Coleman is set to face off against their familiar foe Crivitz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
