Volleyball Recap: Wilder Wins Going Away Against Gem State Adventist Academy

Wilder had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Gem State Adventist Academy on Wednesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-18, 25-15.

Wilder had a senior duo take command as Nancy Ramirez had nine digs, seven aces, and six kills and Natalie Escutia had 12 digs, eight kills, and four aces. Escutia has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played. Jaelynn Perales was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Wilder was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Wilder's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
